Our mission at Hearing Wisdom is to provide adults with the highest quality hearing aids at the best prices. Our standard is unique individualized service. We want to help people improve the quality of their lives by improving their hearing. We believe that persons with hearing loss, ranging from early onset hearing loss to quite severe hearing loss, should be empowered to help themselves at the lowest possible prices.
New findings about the negative effects on the brain of not treating hearing loss early mandate that we accept the need to wear hearing aids. Given this new reality Hearing Wisdom's is, and will remain, to help lower the cost of high-quality hearing aids.
Why our prices are so low
Folks, the price of hearing aids is whatever the seller wants it to be. That’s right, hearing aids cost no more than a couple of hundred dollars to produce, everything else is about how much everyone else takes before you get them. Not sure about that? Read this from the president’s science and technology council. You decide how much you need to spend. We have worked an arrangement with our manufacturer to sell their products at a reduced rate as a response to age related hearing loss issues. In the last few years, medical researchers have discovered that hearing loss needs to be treated as soon as possible to prevent the early onset of mental decline and increased mortality; we discuss these topics on our web site blog pages here and a more recent paper here. We used this knowledge to persuade our manufacturers to lower the price.
Who makes our hearing aids?
Our hearing aids are made in the USA by a leading hearing-aid company that’s been in the business for more than 30 years. It was among the first to offer the behind-the-ear (BTE) and receiver-in-canal (RIC) technology so popular now. Our goal is to find the best hearing-aid technology available for you, the consumer, at the lowest possible price. If you want to know who the manufacturer is send us an email to email@example.com.
How to buy
We offer two ways to buy our hearing aids: over the phone or through this web site. But before you buy, we urge you to see a doctor—preferably an ear, nose, and throat (ENT)—so he or she can evaluate any outstanding medical issues. You can read about the examination on our web site right here.
We can’t sell you hearing aids without an audiogram, and it would be unwise for you to buy from anyone without undergoing a medical examination. Hearing tests are often covered by health insurance, and some offer them for free. But beware often FREE means that they will not provide you with a copy of your test. This is a violation of Federal Law which requires that all medical test whether free or for pay must be provided upon request to the person being tested.
Request a copy of your audiogram and please submit the audiogram online with your order at firstname.lastname@example.org or FAX it to our toll-free dedicated FAX line, at (888) 586-4756.
You can buy our hearing aids here or if you prefer, call us at (888) 564-2436 and we will take your order over the phone and answer your questions.
